Visit to Verdi in Bern
Upon entering Verdi, the rustic décor with wooden tables stands out, which are neatly set with white napkins, elegant cutlery, and beautiful wine glasses.
The menu offers classic Italian dishes. Verdi is not a pizzeria, so guests won’t find pizza on the menu. In addition to the main menu, there is also a lunch menu, and during our visit, there were truffle specials.
I chose the soup of the day and veal liver. The soup of the day was a bread soup, well-prepared and served very hot at the table. I could also help myself to large grissini and tasty bread. The veal liver was cooked perfectly—still pink, but not too raw. The sauce with onions was very flavorful. It came with a risotto. There was quite a lot of veal liver and rather little risotto. However, the main course was generous in portion size. Unfortunately, the dish wasn’t very hot.
The wine was excellent, and we tested the upper price limit. The Limoncello, which was also delicious, was a must-have to finish the meal.
The service was attentive and polite, but not warm.
The prices are on the higher side, but they are in line with the restaurant's standard.

From Bern Station, guests should take bus number 12 towards "Bern, Zentrum Paul Klee" and get off at the Nydegg stop. Ristorante Verdi is then 50 meters from the stop.
